Yearly billing is here — two months free
Starter ($10/month) and Pro ($25/month) can now be billed yearly at two months free — $100/year and $250/year instead of $120/$300. Both plans are on the pricing page; Free stays monthly, since a $0 annual subscription means nothing.
How to switch
There’s no separate yearly checkout. Subscribe monthly the normal way, then hit Switch to Yearly on the Plan page in your dashboard — it opens the Stripe billing portal, where you pick the yearly price for your plan. Everything on your account is one Stripe subscription, so this is a price swap on that subscription, not a new one; your deployments and account keep running exactly as they were.
What carries over
Add-ons follow your billing interval, because everything on one subscription has to share one. So a yearly Starter’s add-ons switch to their yearly rate too ($50/year each) — you never end up with a mix of monthly and yearly charges on the same account.
The trade-off worth naming
Your billing interval only ever changes in Stripe’s billing portal — in both directions. Nothing in the dashboard switches it: upgrades and add-ons deliberately resolve at whatever interval your subscription already has, which is what guarantees every line item on it shares one interval. So going yearly gets a shortcut button on the Plan page, but going back to monthly means opening the portal yourself. Same place, one less signpost.
The sharper edge is for anyone on an older price we’ve grandfathered. The billing portal’s list of switchable prices is the current one, so if you switch yourself you’ll land on today’s rate and lose the rate we’ve been holding for you. The Plan page detects this and offers you an Email Support button instead of the switch — take it, and we’ll set your yearly subscription up at your existing rate by hand.
Worth knowing while you’re here: upgrading a grandfathered plan has the same effect. Your old rate protects the plan you’re on, not every plan — moving Starter to Pro prices Pro at today’s rate.
